Thank You

Hello Everyone, Joni here sharing this fabulous stamp set Gifts For You made by Pamela Ho and the new product Punchinella sheets. If you have not gotten your hand on this Punchinella sheets once it comes back on stock you should :) lots of uses with this.

I made a shaker card using these recently released products from Neat and Tangled. The cute little girl, flower, and the sentiment "Thank You" is from the Gifts For You stamp set. For the top panel I used the Punchinella sheets. I taped the Punchinella sheets on the white panel cardstock and distress it using distress ink pad in Spun Sugar, Old Paper, and Picked Raspberry then die-cut it using the circle die from Spellbinders. I stamped and fussy cut the little girl image and cut some of the tiny flowers from the same stamp set and adhere on the girl's hair. The Neat and Tangled sequins I used are Crystal Clear, Pearl Satin, Just Peachie, and Gold Metallic. I also added some of the fussy cut flowers inside the shaker from the stamp set and adhere the leftover ribbon to  finish off the card.

Here's the full card image.

I hope you enjoyed!

Thank you so much for stopping by :)
Until next time!

Floral Nautical

Hi everyone! It's Jocelyn on the blog today.

When I think of nautical designs, I think of navy and red, Topsiders, ropes, stripes, and Robin Williams as Popeye....not exactly feminine florals. When I made today's card, though, I went for the pink flowers and polka dots:

Smooth Sailing

I started by die-cutting a hole in the center of a Webster's Pages journaling card (you can still see a bit of the lettering on the left). Then, I stamped and paper pieced the boat from the sweet new Sailmates set. Love those polka dots!

I was going to hide the bottom of the boat under the banner, but when I was playing around with the Clouds set, I realized the woodgrain looked a little like ocean swells. I have no idea why I stamped the ocean in yellow--ha ha.

Smooth Sailing

Isn't that sentiment from Sailmates awesome? Danielle's sets always have the most perfect fonts and lettering.

I added Crystal Clear and Pumpkin Satin sequins at the top and stitched through them:

Smooth Sailing

Thanks for stopping by!

Nautical card

Hello, friends! The two-thirds of the calendar summer is behind! And we have not yet had time to enjoy the great weather. This year, our family could not see the sea, beach and palm trees (although we live on the shores of the Baltic Sea, it does not go to any comparison, and the June was very harsh even for our region). A new set of stamps Sailmates is such summer, refreshing and multifaceted. Have you already tried it? I hope so!

This time I made a card using only this set. It is very self-sufficient, I even made the background using anchors. Then I cut the background slightly narrower and shorter than the basics.

I stamped the sentiment on the white cardstock, and placed on a piece of White Punchinella with foam tape. And also added three crystal clear sequins.

Happy Friday friends!

I'm here today with our last post from July guest designer, Jenn Shurkus! It has been such a blast having her for the month! Thank you so much, Jenn!

Hey Everyone, It's Jenn -  This is my last week guest designing for Neat and Tangled- and I have to say I’m sad :( I loved sharing my ideas with you.

Hopefully our paths will cross again and until then be sure to keep up on all my creative posts at shurkus.com

For this card I really couldn’t wait to play with Neat and Tangled’s “Ink Splash” stamp set! To get it to look realistic I used gelatos directly on the stamp, you can even lay down multiple colors as you can see I did here

Once you have the stamp covered very well with the gelatos, I misted it with just a little bit of water, and then stamped it on Distress Watercolor paper. You could spritz it again and stamp a second time for a lighter version, but I wanted all of my ink splashes to be bold and vibrant. So I covered the stamp in gelato again, spritzed and stamped. I did this 3 times and then using the smaller ink splash I filled in the white spaces a bit.

I then stamped the “Dreams” sentiment stamp in versa fine black, once directly on the card, and once on some scrap watercolor paper I had. Using a black glaze pen I gently traced the word “dreams”, let that dry and then went over it again. I like how this really made the word pop off the card.

On the second sentiment that I stamped I just colored in the banner “do come true” with bubblegum gelato, fussy cut it out and popped it up off the card.

I adhered the card front to a red notecard, and then added some sequins with glossy accents from the “Pixie Dust Sequin Mix”

This is such a fun and easy card, and you could recreate it in all different color schemes!

Well, that is it. I can’t believe July is almost over! Thank you so much to Danielle for inviting me to  guest design for Neat and Tangled, it was truly an honor!

I have already shared my first cards with you here and today I wanted to show you another card that I made using the new die. I also used a ton of stamps from Neat & Tangled and created a scene behind my street sign.

Neat and Tangled + Pinkfresh Studio Blog Hop Day 2!

Hello friends - Danielle here! We are back for day 2 of our blog hop with our friends at Pinkfresh Studio! In case you missed day 1, be sure to check it out here! Hop along and comment to win a prize pack containing $20 in product from Neat and Tangled and $20 in product from Pinkfresh Studio!

We are starting today off here on the Neat and Tangled blog!

I created this card using some of the gorgeous light gold washi tape and sweet color block wood hearts!  I put several strips of the gold tape on a piece of scrap white cardstock and then trimmed it into a rectangle. For the hearts, I left them as is and just smothered them in glossy accents to make them shine!  I adhered the hearts to my washi rectangle, added some stitching, and popped it all up with foam dimensionals on my card base. For the sentiment I used the "thank you" from our new July release set, Gifts for You.

July Guest Designer: Jenn Shurkus!

Hi friends! Thank you for another exciting release! I cannot wait to see what you create with our new products!

Today we have another awesome project from our guest designer, Jenn Shurkus!

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Hey Everyone, It's Jenn again from shurkus.com - This week I am bringing it back to card making and using the oh so fun “Just for You” set.

I started by creating the background with some gelatos and distress watercolor paper. I colored the gelatos directly on the paper and washed a wet paintbrush over it to blend and mix the colors. I heat set it when I was happy with how it looked.

I then took the open balloon stamp from the “Just for Fun” stamp set and stamped it 3 times varying the height. Using a quick lie glue pen and ultra fine crystal glitter I filled in the balloons with some sparkle!

On another piece of card stock I stamped the solid balloon twice and fussy cut it out.

I added strings to the open balloons with the stamp provided in the set and using versa fine smokey gray ink.

For the solid balloons I secured some bakers twine behind the balloons with foam tape and adhered them to the card.  Wrapping the excess twine to the back of the watercolor paper and securing it with some wash tape.

I then stamped the ‘Celebrate’ sentiment in purple ink, cleaned the stamp and stamped it again in versa fine black just down a touch to give some dimension. This is easy to do with clear stamps, but still makes you nervous after all of your hard work- you might mess it up in one swoop!

I then tore towards me to get rid of some of the excess watercolor paper. I adhered the layer to the card and then embellished it with some Neat and Tangled “Birthday Bash Sequin Mix”

I can’t believe I only have one more week of guest designing for Neat and Tangled- it has gone so quickly!

July Release Day 4: Introducing Punchinella Stamp + Product!

Hello friends and welcome to the last day of our July release! All stamps, sequins and punchinella are now available in the shop! In case you missed:

Day 2: Sailmates

Today we have one final stamp set and one new product!

First up, the stamp set! Neat and Tangled, as you know, is big on sequins! This 3x4 set, Punchinella, is inspired by sequin leftovers!  If you're not familiar, once sequins are cut out there is obviously some scrap left over, it's called punchinella! This set is great for background building or adding interest to a card.
And what could be better than a stamp? How about some actual punchinella for you to use on your projects! It's great to add to cards and layouts, or perfect to use as a stencil! We are starting by carrying 3 colors: gold, black and white! Each package of punchinella will contain three 6" sheets of punchinella.

Phew, that was a lot! How about some cards now ;)
