Pixelated Heart Die How-To Video!

Hello friends!

Danielle here with the much anticipated Pixelated Heart Die How-To!  It is definitely a unique die, but I know that once you watch the video and see how to bend and fold you will be set!

In the video I show you 3 different looks you can create using this die set!

It covers how to create the pop-up heart

As well as how to create a simple one dimensional heart!

Perfect Blend Video with Emily

Happy weekend! Today's card and video features the Perfect Blend stamp and coordinating die set, illustrated by May Sukyong Park. I used several techniques to create this card, including creating an ombre background using the latte art images, as well as watercoloured focal points and heat embossed hearts.

The MISTI stamping tool allowed me to double-stamp the background in three shades of ombre ink. I mirrored those same colours in the coffee cups, using distress inks and simple watercoloring. I used a white gel pen to "erase" any colour that bled outside the lines on the coffee cups.

The black hearts were heat embossed using Versafine Onyx Black pigment ink and clear embossing powder. The patterned paper is from Crate Paper's Notes & Things paper pad.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

January Guest Designer: Dana Fleckenstein

Hello everyone, it's Dana here with my third and sadly last guest post on the blog. I had the pleasure this time to work with one of the super cute release stamp sets - Lumberjack Love! My idea for this card was to utilize the Silhouette Cameo to create a circle with the silhouette of the girl from the stamp set included. Once I figured out how, I cut it from watercolor paper and stamped the girl right inside the cut out silhouette. After watercoloring the girl, I created a shaker window filled with the English Rose sequins mix.

Thanks for having me on the blog this month! I hope you all enjoyed this just as much as I did :)

Adorable No-Line Watercolouring Bear Card by Taheerah

Hey everyone, happy Thursday! Taheerah here today with an adorable little card!

Ever since I got the Lumberjack Love set into my little paws I couldn't wait to try my hand at some no-line watercolouring with the little bear image! He is just so adorable and cute! In fact Elena has done an outstanding job of illustrating this perfect set!

Here's what I created:

I could not be more thrilled with how this turned out! Doesn't he look straight out of an old storybook?!

I stamped the bear lightly using Antique Linen Distress Ink, then the trunk, first wiping away part of the ink so it didn't overlap with my bear. I then watercoloured the entire scene using Distress Inks. Once I was done I stamped the little heart and added a partially stamped sentiment from Perfect Blend to finish it off!

I hope you love this little card as much as I do! What do you think of it? Would you like a tutorial for how I did it? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for stopping by!
