Release Schedule Change and January Release Sneak Peeks!

We've got one more big announcement for you all this week!

We're going to monthly releases! Yay! Cue the confetti!

Our releases were starting to get pretty big and unwieldy, so we've decided to make them a little smaller and do a release each month. Releases will be the first full week of each month.

If you're looking at your calendar, you will have figured out that this means that NEXT WEEK is January release week!

We'll be releasing a great mix of stamps, dies and sequins. And I don't know about you, but I am so excited to see what the team comes up with :)

Would you like to see some sneak peeks?

See you back here bright and early Monday morning for our first reveal!

N&T IG Team

No offense to Facebook, and Snapchat, and YouTube, and all those other sites, but Instagram is by far our favorite social media channel, and we're pretty sure that you guys like it a lot too.

As a result, this year we're introducing an Instagram team!  These lovely ladies will be sharing their talents with you over on Instagram this year!

First we have Maria Peters, @a_country_home

Hello everyone,
my name is Maria. I’m 48 years old, based in Hamburg, Germany where I live with my husband and
my 12-years-old son.
I started with cardmaking in June 2015 and shared my cards on Instagram since December 2015.
I am creative in different ways since I was a child. I blogged two years about my other hobbies like DIY, Home Decoration, Baking and Bookbinding.
Then I gave up the blog because it needs too much time and I haven’t.

From time to time I made cards for birthdays or Christmas, but I haven’t any idea that such a great card making community exist.
And how many fantastic products are on the market.
I discovered this in June 2015 and since this time card making is my passion and my personal therapy.
I love to create scenes and I love it colorful.

Card making is pure relaxing for me.
I forget all around me when I make my cards.
Especially coloring is like Yoga for me.
That’s such a great compensation to my stressful (non-creative) job.

I met so many wonderful people with the same hobby on IG.
That amaze me every day!

Wish you all a wonderful day!

Love, Maria

Here are a few of Maria's favorite cards featuring Neat & Tangled

Next up is Sharna Waksmulski @cardsbysharna

I've been a crafter since I could hold a crayon & even got a degree in photography. It wasn't until 2012 that I got into cardmaking & stamping when I first found a local paper crafting store. The rest they say is history!

I reside in Morton Grove, IL a suburb of Chicago with my husband & son and one aloof cat.

And a sampling of Sam's work:

And last but not least, Natalie Elphinstone @natalieelph who is also on the IG team

I'm a scrapbooker, card-maker, Project-Lifer and bible-journaler who wants to use #allthecolours #allthetime and I currently also design for Sizzix and Jot Magazine. I'm so excited about joining the Neat and Tangled team and can't wait to get started!

And here are some of Natalie's favorite N&T projects:

2017 N&T Design Team

It's a week full of announcements!  Monday we bid farewell to some much loved team members, yesterday we introduced you to the new video team and a monthly technique feature, and today we're unveiling the new design team for 2016.

We're so excited about this year's team, and we think that you will be too.  We've got scrapbookers, mixed media specialists, and of course lots of card makers represented.  Here they are:

Cheiron Brandon

I work in the financial district by day, and unwind in my studio at night. I live right outside of NYC- in NJ with my husband and two rescue pups. I have been an artist as long as I can remember and love experimenting with new products and techniques in my card making, especially paint! I enjoy sharing the art of stamping with others and teach crafting and card making workshops each month in NYC.

Nancy Damiano

I live in central New Jersey with my husband and son. I've been involved in the scrapbook industry for 10+ years. I've recently taken the leap into cardmaking and I'm in love. Coloring my heart out to create a small token of appreciation for someone I love - that's for me! I'm enjoying learning all the techniques that go into these small works of art. When I'm not crafting, I'm traveling, reading and binging on Netflix. I have a passion for the color aqua, Disney World, and paper goods. I’ve been making things for as long as I can remember. I learned long ago that the best things are handmade!
Sveta Fotinia

Hello! My name is Sveta Marchenko (blogger nickname - Fotinia), I'm 29, living with my hubby and abyssinian cat in port city of Odessa, Ukraine. I have a master degree in economics but work as a marine crew coordinator. I've discovered cardmaking about 3 years ago, since that time I can't live without stamps, inks, paper, my new friends and blog. My main hobbies before it were traveling and photography, so I also like to make layouts and mini albums to keep my memories in a beautiful way. Still cardmaking is the main passion for me: stamping, die-cutting, watercoloring and trying new techniques  is a pure magic! The main inspiration for me when I start my project are the supplies: when I take stamp set or a new die my brain starts create lots of combinations and pictures. After hard day of work, this is the best relaxing therapy for me. My dream is to have own crafty space, as now all my crafty things live in a few boxes while we are reconstructing our apartment.

Daria Grushina

I'm a 30-plus-a-few girl, now living in Petrozavodsk that is in the North West of Russia. I have been traveling a lot - lived in Sochi, Saint-Petersburg, Finland, and even got my MA in Ottawa, Canada... But now I'm back to my roots, married to the kindest men and run a small shoe shop.. O, and we have a fatty cat, that we really love:)

I started to make cards only in September/October 2014, not so long ago... That is another reason while I feel so blessed and honored to get this invitation and to create among the most talented ladies... I have always loved cards, but after seeing one of Kristina Werner's video on youtube and realizing that I can make them myself - I couldn't stop since. I am 100% card-maker with a tend to Clean&Simple style. And this year will definitely bring lots of fresh and trendy ideas and tons of inspiration :)

Debby Hughes

Hi, I’m Debby. I live in Scotland, UK with my husband and three children. Now rapidly growing and flying the nest, it was when my children were young that I turned to card making as a way to find a little bit of ‘me’ time from caring for my young family. In 2010 I started my blog Lime Doodle Design as a means of sharing my creations. Blogging lead to reigniting another of my passions that of photography. As time has gone on my focus has changed from simply sharing what I create to sharing how it was made; what products, techniques and even on occasion how it was photographed.

You can find more of what I do on my blog Lime Doodle Design and connect with me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube.

Kelly Latevola (yup, Kelly is doing double duty for us this year)

I was a Police/Fire/Ems dispatcher for a living but have since moved on to working in the Detective Bureau . Which is wonderful and terrible at the same time. I am married to a wonderful man and we have one little bundle of never ending energy, Nathan, who is 3. Nathan's best friend is our dog Molly who is a boxer/mastiff mix. Between the two of them my house is never clean! Gah! My style of card making is pretty Clean and Simple. I sometimes venture into the Clean and Layered but even then my design isn't very busy. I do love a good one layer card, especially if it's a scene!

Miriam Prantner

My name is Miriam Prantner.  My husband Andrew and I have two daughters Ellie (9) and Carina (6).  I've been crafting ever since I was little, scrapbooking for over 16 years, and making cards for the last several years.  I love to dabble and try new techniques/styles, but I tend to have a pretty CAS style even when I'm experimenting.  I've been designing stamps and dies for Neat & Tangled since late 2013.

Elena Roussakis

Elena lives in Montreal, Canada, with her husband and 3 young kids. She started crafting for something to do when her babes were napping, and now that they are a bit older, they enjoy stamping and coloring along with her. Elena loves crafting party decorations, and has started illustrating stamp sets for Neat and Tangled.

Keeway Tsao

Hello there! My name is Keeway Tsao and I live in sunny California with my sweetheart. Crafting has been my passion and getaway into creativity. I have loved coloring for as long as I can remember, and always carry something to color wherever I go! I'm not really sure how to describe my style, but I can tell you that I craft how I feel! I love to let the products inspire me and just pour my heart into my work. Cardmaking is my happiness and I'm grateful to be able to share it with all of you.

Video Team! and a Technique Feature

We've got lots of exciting announcements this week.  Today we want to introduce you to the Neat & Tangled video team.  We know that you guys really enjoy watching videos and seeing the creative process, and this year we're making that a focus with a special team of designers.

First up is Laura Bassen, who is near and dear to our hearts, her cards make us swoon and her videos make us laugh (and sometimes sing).

Hi my name is Laura Bassen and I am a wife and mother of five busy kids living in central Illinois. I started my blog, Doublestick Heaven, back in 2008. My favorite thing to do is eat chocolate. If there's no chocolate then I'll take some french fries. If I can't have french fries then I like to watch movies at home with the family in sweatpants as long as there's popcorn:) I'm so very grateful for the opportunity to work with such a talented design team and look forward to showcasing their exciting new products.

Then there is Kelly Latevola. She was a guest designer for N&T last year, creating a video each week. She's a great colorist and teacher and you're sure to learn new tricks and tips when you watch her work.

I do love a good one layer card, especially if it's a scene!

Finally, we have Natalie Elphinstone, she does it all - traditional scrapbooking, Project Life, Bible Journaling, cards, and she's got the cutest crafty kids you are likely to make an appearance too.

I'm a Graphic Designer turned Project Manager working in a design agency by day, but becoming an avid crafter by night. Hi friends!  We hope that you had a wonderful Christmas.  It's hard to believe, but in less than a week, it will be 2017!  We have many exciting things planned for the new year, but sadly we are saying goodbye to some very dear members of our team as well - Amy Tsuruta, Nina-Marie Trapani, and Taheerah Atchia.  Today we want to send them off in style.

Amy has been with Neat & Tangled for quite some time, she's been a great advocate and wonderful teammate.  Here are some of our favorite Amy projects from over the years:

Mini Envelope Valentines with Nina-Marie Trapani

Hello crafty friends! It's Nina-Marie with you today! I hope you are enjoying the holiday season and for those of you that celebrate, I wish you a VERY merry Christmas!

Today I have a set of holiday cards to share... no, not Christmas, but rather Valentine's Day! I know we haven't gotten past Christmas yet, but these holidays pop up so quickly, that I like working ahead!

I thought it would be fun to share some inspiration on creating envelope Valentine's that could be used in a variety of ways... there would be perfect for kids to make and give to their friends; super cute to slip into your kids' lunch bag or hide for a loved one to find; or just mail as a cute little "thinking of you" note for a friend.

What makes these cards so cute is that the card and envelope are joined together to create an semi-interactive design. I think these are adorable... and the added bonus is that they are VERY easy to put together!

I made mine using the We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board; I selected my desired finished-envelope size and went to town scoring, punching and folding my patterned papers to create mini Valentines.

I paired the envelopes with the Kitty's Favorite Things stamp and die set from Neat & Tangled; cats hold a soft spot for me and this little guy just melts me! I watercolored the images with Zig Clean Color markers.

In the video below, I will walk you through how I created these little Valentines, and share some tips along the way too... I hope you'll check it out! Thanks for visiting me today!
